She lives in Oracle where she paints full-time in her beautiful studio. Her current “Askew” series has been her focus for the past 3 years. The series numbers 117 paintings ranging in size from 8’x 8’ to 10”x10”.
Barbara has had 13 solo shows over 10 years and has been included in numerous 2-person and group exhibitions throughout the United States.
STATEMENT
The "Askew" series are paintings with a skewed perspective, quirky colors and patterns, a sense of fun and a tinge of foreboding. Pathways intersect with the anxieties of life, where the viewer can be simultaneously lost and found. Beauty with humor and fantasy prevail.
