Artist Statement
My art is expressed in multi media, hand-bound, one-of-a-kind artists' books and boxes, and handmade papers, etc. Experimentation and exploration are important elements in my personal journey as an artist. My focus has been on the intuitive connection and deep reverence I have for the natural world and with the Sacred Feminine. The reoccurring idea that drives my work is the interconnectedness of all things. I weave images and words to spark an imagining for the viewer/reader that leads to an understanding of the weave of life itself, something we have lost as a culture. I wish for my work to create a reawakening of the potential soulful relationship we have with all of nature. Recently, I've returned to watercolor to hone my skills and am exploring multiple forms of expression.
