Wanted: One Paperworks member in good standing to chair the IOMH groups. Sense of humor and enthusiam a plus as well as organizational skills.:)
Job entails contacting IOMH hosts and clarifying if the group is active, and if so, if it is an open or closed group. The IOMH chair will have the opportunity to state the new, active, or closed groups at the PW meetings. At the May meeting the chair will introduce all of the IOMH groups and have them read a synopsis of that particular groups work.
Applicants can email Suzé via the PW website if interested. This is a great way to begin to get involved with PW!!

For the Paperworks members that want to participate in the U of A Poetry Center collaboration, I am posting the poems here on our blog. Select one that you can relate to, whether it is a line, stanza, or the entire poem. The only criteria is that it must be a visual interpretation of the written poem. Oil, acrylic, watercolor painting, sculpture, mixed media, books, monoprints, encaustic, you name it, be as creative as you can in your interpretation.
The exhibit is tentatively booked for early Spring 2010, so submissions will be needed after January 2010. Good luck and please feel free to email Mimi or me if you have any questions.
It is understood by the Poetry Center that several artists will be interpreting a particular poem in different media and processes and that will be very intriguing.
More poems will be posted as they arrive.

Thank you Iris! I think this will be a great way to share PW info as well as book and creative ideas. As we only meet once a month and we do not have an “official” meeting during the summer, this blog will provide an opportunity to keep in touch and find out what our PW artist’s are up to and new exhibitions in Tucson/Phoenix areas.
Look forward to new posts! Happy blogging, Suzé
