Two questions

PaperWorks No Comments »

Does anyone have experience doing etsy or local art fairs? I’m wondering if anyone has found any success with them selling prints or books(blank or not).

Also, still wondering who I would contact about doing a salon. (see my previous post)

Salons??

PaperWorks No Comments »

So I decided to give a few workshops at my house over winter break, but was wondering (for future reference) if anyone can give me information on how one might go about setting up an actual Paperworks Salon. Who do I need to talk to, etc.???

Thanks!

Alice Vinson

Take a look…

This young LA artist is a friend I’ve known since she was 8-year-old, making colored pencil drawings of bunnies, butterflies and ladybugs. I think she should be a long-distance member of Paperworks! Her website is www.heatherscholl.com

Maybe a workshop…?

Do a Google search on Julie Chen, a book artist from CA featured last night on PBS’s series Crafts in America.

letterpress type and ephemera for sale

PaperWorks No Comments »

Don Sayner’s letterpress type, prints, etc. is on sale

through Saturday at Swanson’s at the corner of Speedway and Swan.

What’s left over will go to a thrift shop at Rosemont and Speedway

after that if they want it. Don was an old, dear friend and I can’t bear to go look, but there should be some interesting things including ephemera for those of you who do collage.

Another “check it out” opportunity

Look at www.artseye.com. It’s the gallery next to Photgraphic Works, on Grant Rd. Especially see work by Vicki Ragan, a UA School of Art Photography alumni who will be giving a lecture at the Center for Creative Photography.
